0515 Mental Health Assistant Program Director
GENERAL PURPOSE
Assists the Mental Health Program Director with behavior services program evaluation, behavior management interventions / training, psychotropic medication monitoring, restraint usage monitoring, and provides ongoing consultation with facility staff, outside consultants, and interacts with clients requiring behavioral interventions.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Assists with training and orientation classes on behavioral management plans, restraint usage, and behavioral intervention techniques.
- Coordinates ongoing training that includes behavior goal implementation with clients, appropriate restraint usage, and collaboration with staff to develop specialized plans for improving client behavior.
- Reviews and monitors all written behavior management plans.
- Monitors and tracks all client behavior occurrences.
- Monitors and tracks all physical restraints used for behavioral interventions.
- Assists with scheduling all psychiatric appointments and coordinates psychiatric reports to accompany clients to appointments.
- Assists in developing and periodically reviewing behavioral policies and procedures with the Program Director and Administrator.
- Assists with departmental supplies purchases.
- Assists with departmental budget and compiles necessary reports.
- Participates in administrative on-call rotation as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree in Psychology or a related field.Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & BEHAVIORS
Knowledge and application of behavior management principles and practices.Knowledge of psychotropic medication classes and principles.Good organizational skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information.Ability to relate professionally and positively, working cooperatively with residents, families, and staff at all levels.PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Mobility, reaching, bending, lifting (minimum of 10 pounds), fine hand coordination.Ability to read, write, understand, and follow written and oral instructions.Ability to travel and remain calm under pressure.Days / Hours : Sunday-Thursday 11 : 30AM-8PM
