Healthcare Account Manager
The Healthcare Account Manager has overall account responsibility and drives sustainable growth with Converters and CDMOs participating in the Healthcare market segment. Responsibilities include identifying new growth opportunities, building and strengthening new and existing healthcare converter relationships, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver value added material solutions that meet the unique needs of pharmaceutical, medical devices, diagnostics, and healthcare converters. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the healthcare value chain, regulatory environments, and how to align complex technical solutions with customer requirements.
Minimum Knowledge, Education and Skill Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of B2B technical sales or business development experience, preferably in the healthcare, pharma or medical device sector.
- Knowledge of roll-to-roll processes or materials science (films, adhesives, foams, coatings) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, GMP) and medical product lifecycles.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), ERP systems Oracle Cloud preferred, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Duties and Responsibilities :
Sales & Account Management :
Drive the full sales cycle through identifying and targeting new opportunities and customers from lead generation through product recommendation and testing to successful negotiations and closure.Cultivate and strengthen relationships with new and current key customers at all organizational levels between Flexcon and customers going wide and deep throughout the customer organization.Increase market share by demonstrating deliverable brand value and preference with assigned healthcare accounts. Build knowledge base on Flexcon products and applications and where they add value to customers.Develop and revise business proposals with existing accounts by analyzing historical data on customer spending, as well as considerations of client objectives, timing, product offerings, product performance and inventory availability.Provide a high level of customer intimacy with effective communication, timely responses to requests and proactive resolution of potential issues.Identify critical areas for improvement by diagnosing all aspects of our engagement at each location, while targeting those with the biggest upside potential for growth and partnership.Collaborate closely with Healthcare Business Development Manager in identifying healthcare brand owner pull through opportunities to increase strategic and profitable brand awareness and growth.Ensure effective cross functional communication across the internal teams to understand and anticipate customer needs. Provide voice-of-customer feedback to drive innovation, service improvements and portfolio development.Technical & Market Expertise :
Build professional networks and leverage Industry events to ensure Flexcon's success and brand exposure within the Healthcare segment.Strong understanding of roll-to-roll manufacturing capabilities (eg. coating, laminating, converting, die cutting) as they apply to healthcare applications.Monitor healthcare market and competitive trends, regulatory shifts (eg. FDA, ISO 13485) and emerging innovations.Experience & Competencies :
Demonstrated experience in managing and growing multi-location and regional account portfolios. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales revenue, margin contribution, and customer retention.Strong leadership, presentation, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Organizational skills with a focus on quality assurance and process improvement.Team player, willing and able to collaborate with a diverse and dynamic team.Strong Project Management skills - must have a positive outlook and able to help lead teams and projects.Ability to thrive in a fast moving and challenging environment.Demonstrated ability to think outside the box and take initiative to solve problems as they arise.Ability to approach complaints and resolve disputes and conflicts.Strong time management skills.Maintain accurate customer information through daily use of the CRM-Sales Force.Experience in Excel with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
