The Substation Application Engineer provides technical support to energy utility customers for AFLs substation products which includes creating application notes instruction manuals and conducting training. Application Engineers act as the voice of the customer for the form fit and function of AFL products.
Responsibilities
Provide pre - and post - technical support to sales customer service representatives and customers. Including but not limited to :Field training
Customer visitsIndustry standard participationsConducts product training both internally for company associates and externally for customers sales agents and representativeCreates documents for new product introductions installation instructions applications notes and product specific guidelinesInteract with manufacturing sales and research teams to develop and market new products to support product launch for at least the first six months.Lead technical RFx response effortsRemain up to date and knowledgeable on the most current competitor product offering and technology.Adhere to and promote the environments health and safety policies of AFLMust successfully complete pre-employment assessments background & reference checksOther assignments as identified.Personal Qualities
