Heritage Distribution Holdings is seeking a highly qualified, hands‑on Infrastructure Manager to lead the Heritage IT infrastructure team in supporting the fastest‑growing HVAC wholesale distributor in the U.S. This critical role ensures the scalability, robustness, security, and cost‑efficiency of our hybrid infrastructure across Azure and on‑prem environments. The ideal candidate combines deep Azure experience (IaaS / PaaS / DaaS), enterprise networking expertise, endpoint management, and strong project / vendor leadership. They excel at minimizing tech‑stack complexity, aligning infrastructure with Security / Ops / M&A objectives, and delivering measurable outcomes in reliability, performance, cost, and compliance.
Guiding Directives :
- Ensure continuous uptime and security of all critical IT infrastructure components via proactive monitoring, maintenance, and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with IT, Security, and Operations to deliver a user‑centric, reliable environment that supports the needs of the business.
- Reduce complexity and footprint using reduce, retire, re‑platform principles while accelerating cloud adoption and M&A integrations.
Key Responsibilities :
Assisting the development of the infrastructure roadmap and Azure governance (tagging, RBAC, Policy, naming, cost / chargeback).Run Azure at scale; VMs, VNets / peering, storage, Private Endpoints, ExpressRouteOptimize cost, performance, and compliance; maintain hygiene (tags, orphan cleanup, RI / SSP coverage).Integrate cloud with identity and monitoring; maintain clear diagrams, documentation, and runbooks.Lead AVD (images, FSLogix, session hosts) and Linux-based thin-client endpoints; enforce GPO / Intune / Conditional Access.Manage network stack (Unifi, VLANs, firewalls, VPN, DHCP / DNS, IP schema); drive NAC rollout, capacity planning, and site audits.Own backup / DR : Azure Backup policies, coverage for VMs / SQL / M365, routine restores, DR simulations, track RPO / RTO and alerts.Lead architecture decisions and cross-functional deliveries with clear milestones and outcomes.Administer and consolidate O365 tenants (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) during M&A activityInfluence architectural decisions to align technology direction with strategic objectives.Drive cross-functional initiatives by defining clear milestones and ensuring successful delivery of required outcomes.Certifications : AZ-140 (Azure Virtual Desktop), AZ-700 (Network), AZ-500 (Security), AZ-305 (Architect Expert)
Educational Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field a plus, but not required.
Years of Experience : Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Strong understanding of cloud cost models, reservation / commitment planning, and performance / capacity management.Excellent communication and stakeholder management; clear documentation and runbook creation.Working knowledge of modern security practices and tooling (SentinelOne, Darktrace) and regulatory considerations.Windows Server / Desktop administration and Linux administration; strong shell scripting (PowerShell / Bash).Enterprise networking (routing / switching, firewalls, VPN, Unifi), identity (AD / AAD), and endpoint management (Intune / GPO).Demonstrated delivery across automation (Terraform / Bicep / ARM), governance (Policy / RBAC / Tagging), and DR / Backup disciplines.Join us to shape and optimize Heritage’s hybrid infrastructure, leading Azure adoption, simplifying the stack, integrating acquisitions, and delivering a secure, high‑performance, cost‑efficient platform for rapid growth.
