Responsibilities include intermediate/advanced understanding and capability of performing accurate professional and technical billing of accounts within a hospital setting to include charge entry, claims submission, account follow up, appeals, and account audits. Monitoring and pursuing delinquent accounts. Ability to review actual reimbursement as compared to expected reimbursement for a specific line of business and payer.
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT-4 coding. Experience with all aspects of hospital UB04 billing and with professional 1500 billing for State, Federal, and Managed Care contracts. Must be computer literate with intermediate capabilities in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong math skills required.
