About The Position

Job Title : Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer

Profession : Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer

Experience : Minimum 1 year

License : ARDMS Abdomen or Ob / Gyn AND RVT required

Certifications : RDMS (abdomen and / or ObGyn) AND RVT required

Must-Have :

Candidates must have RVT vascular ultrasound experience.

Candidates must have OB experience (all trimesters & BPP).

Description :

Candidates going to this position must be fully vaccinated; declinations are not accepted.

Candidates should be comfortable with GE equipment.

The unit has 417 total beds in the hospital, with 50 in the ER.

There is 1 ultrasound bed in the ED and 6 in the main department.

The staff includes 8 full-time techs and 11 PRN techs.

Day shifts have up to 5 techs, with shifts staggered based on historical volume.

Night shifts include 1 tech with a backup tech on call.

Patient ratios are not applicable.

The equipment used includes GE Logiq E9 and Philips iU22.

The EMR systems in use are Meditech and McKesson PACS.

Typical procedures performed include general (abdomen, GYN, renal, small parts), OB (all trimesters, BPP), vascular (venous, arterial, carotid), and pediatric procedures (head, pyloric stenosis).

The ideal candidate is an effective communicator, a team player, and is motivated and self-assertive.

Floating to other areas is limited to just ultrasound.

There is a dress code requiring hunter green scrubs.

Weekends and on-call shifts are required, with at least 3 shifts per month.
