The School of Nursing at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) invites applications for a Tenured position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor (12-month) with the appointment starting in Fall 2024.

The Position

Applications are being accepted for a 12-month, tenured Associate or full Professor rank position to serve as the Director of Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.

The assigned academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.The University seeks an outstanding, innovative, faculty member for the School;

one who is committed to promoting and fostering excellence in leadership, teaching, scholarship and service.In particular, the School is seeking applicants that possess academic program administrative experience in administering a DNP program.

It is important that the candidate have experience in developing curricula, policies and procedures and evaluation systems that meet accreditation requirements for DNP programs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Applicants must have experience in teaching and working with colleagues from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing
  • National Certification in a field of interest in Nursing
  • Experience as an academic program administrator
  • Earned Doctorate in Nursing or in a related field. ABD candidates will be considered but must have completed the doctorate by the time of appointment.
  • Evidence of experience in undergraduate, graduate and / or doctoral nursing education
  • Valid and active unencumbered California Registered Nurse License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the operations of a DNP program
  • Evidence of scholarship / research activities and scholarly, peer reviewed publications

The anticipated hiring salary range for this position is $9,700 to $11,500 per month. Please see anticipated hiring salary ranges for the specific classifications below :

The Associate Professor (12-month) classification salary range is $7,102 to $15,145 per month (12 monthly payments per year);

The anticipated hiring salary range is $9,700 to $10,250 per month.

The Professor (12-month) classification salary range is $8,964 to $15,864 per month (12 monthly payments per year); The anticipated hiring salary range is $11,200 to $11,500 per month.

This position will be commensurate with experience and current CSUDH faculty salaries in the academic department / discipline.

Faculty salaries are subject to budgetary authorization and any California State University System faculty contract increases.

Summer research grants, moving expenses, start up funds, and a reduced teaching load may be available.
