Role Summary
The Industrial Engineering Manager will aid in the development and implementation of activities within the Industrial Engineering Department. This position will also provide direct support to the Senior Industrial Engineering Services Manager. This position will be responsible for managing the reviewing of documents, collaboration with project teams, attendance of meetings, arrangement of field observations or inspections and the investigation of non-compliant conditions for the enhancement of productivity, efficiency and quality. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.
Key Role Responsibilities - Core
- Analyzes existing processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies or productivity issues and manages implementation of appropriate timelines, schedules and budgets.
- Implements technologies and drives new processes and quality control initiatives that resolve workflow problems, maximize product or process reliability, improve productivity, reduce waste and minimize cost.
- Identifies and manages the implementation of improvements in methods, procedures, equipment, staffing or workflow that are aimed at improving productivity, process integrity and quality.
- Oversees process improvement and waste reduction activities using lean tools such as value stream mapping, time studies, flow diagrams, Kaizen events and SERVQUAL analysis.
- Provides and manages mentorship and training opportunities for facilitating continuous improvement focused on systems, operational processes, efficient handoffs and standardization of best practices.
- Evaluates and analyzes ideas to manage the reduction of operating costs and the increase of corporate profitability through end-to-end process improvement.
- Oversees the development of documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Studies activity-based processes and conducts labor management studies to create ways to improve work methods.
- Develops and oversees the monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to continuously track improvement.
- Oversees coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project implementation.
- Does advanced research to optimize the use of resources, including manpower, materials and machinery.
- Develops and manages the implementation of inventory control systems.
- Designs and oversees the execution of processes that ensure the safety and well-being of employees.
- Conducts ergonomic assessments and oversees implementation of improvements.
- Collects and analyzes data to support decision-making. Prepares and presents reports on findings and recommendations.
- Remains current on the latest industry trends and technologies and oversees the testing and modifications for any issues or problems.

Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field (Required)Master's degree (Preferred)In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.Experience
