Job descriptionAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Must pass AWS certifications for MIG welding steel and aluminum. Basic understanding of welding symbols, print tolerances, and quality measuring equipment. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write basic correspondence. Ability to read and interpret prints and work orders. Strong math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Monday - Thursday
4 : 00 pm - 2 : 00 am
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Use manual welding skills to manufacture weldments to defined specifications, workmanship standards, and production schedule.
- Prepare and set up necessary tools and equipment for welding jobs.
- Arrange parts for welding and staging processes.
- Perform quality inspections and checks per quality documentation / control plan, including documentation of results.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Lead.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition, following prescribed safety procedures.
- Uphold site efficiency and productivity standards.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement for safety and quality standards and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead.
- Assist in other work areas as needed.
