Overview
The Licensed / Certified Addiction Counselor will provide direct clinical services to clients including assessments, treatment planning, individual and group counseling. The ideal candidate will be passionate about recovery, skilled in motivational and trauma-informed approaches, evidenced-based practice, and committed to supporting individuals in their journey toward healing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct substance use disorder assessments and diagnostic evaluations in accordance with South Dakota Administrative Rule.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions.
- Provide education and support to clients regarding addiction and recovery.
- Collaborate with community partners, referral sources, and treatment team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required by state and agency standards.
Qualifications
Must hold or be working toward LAC / CAC.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Behavioral Health Field.Experience working with individuals impacted by substance use disorders; experience with criminal justice populations a plus.Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.Commitment to ethical practice and professional development.Benefits
