Title : Managing Producer

Location : New York, NY (in-person, 4 days in office)

Salary Range (DOE) : $145K- $155K annually

Boardroom is seeking a Managing Producer to oversee the operational and financial management of our video studio. This role will manage a team of four — including a Senior Producer, Producer, Video Editor, and freelancers — while serving as the key point person for budgeting, cost control, and production operations across all original and branded video projects.

The ideal candidate is an experienced production leader who can balance creative execution with business discipline — someone who can oversee multiple concurrent productions, manage the studio’s P&L, and ensure every project runs efficiently, profitably, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Boardroom’s video studio and production pipeline across original and branded projects.
• Manage and mentor a core team of producers and editors, setting clear goals, processes, and performance standards.
• Create and maintain master production calendars, ensuring clear visibility into active and upcoming projects.
• Oversee all vendor, crew, and resource allocation to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
• Partner with creative and editorial leads to translate project goals into executable production plans.
• Own and manage the overall video production budget across all Boardroom properties.
• Create detailed project budgets for both original and branded content, ensuring accuracy, profitability, and alignment with revenue goals.
• Track, reconcile, and report all production spending in partnership with the finance team.
• Handle the studio’s P&L, monitoring performance against quarterly and annual goals.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, process optimization, and improved ROI across productions.
• Manage vendor contracts, freelance rates, and production invoices to maintain financial compliance and consistency.
• Implement and maintain standardized workflows for production planning, approval, and delivery.
• Ensure all projects meet deadlines, quality standards, and budget parameters.
• Manage rights, releases, insurance, and compliance documentation for all productions.
• Oversee production tools, systems, and reporting dashboards that track progress, costs, and team capacity.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, finance, and operations to align production resources with company priorities.
