As a Yard Jockey, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient movement of trailers within the yard. Your primary duties will involve driving the Yard Truck to position trailers at the correct docks and prepare them for loading and unloading processes. Additionally, you will assist in moving products within the dock using a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Yard Truck to move trailers into the correct dock positions.
• Pull loaded trucks out of docks to prepare trailers for movement to the adjacent storage warehouse.
• Open and close trailers to facilitate loading.
• Operate a forklift within the dock as needed to assist with moving products.

Work Environment

The role operates on the 2nd shift, from 3 PM to 11 : 15 PM, Monday through Friday. The work environment is primarily a warehouse setting, involving the use of forklifts and other heavy machinery. Dress code is suitable for a warehouse environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00 / hr.
