Accountant

A bit about us :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced accountant to join our growing team. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for managing a wide range of financial and accounting activities. You will be a key player in ensuring financial integrity, preparing financial reports, and implementing financial strategies. Your role will also involve the use of Accounting ERP, retail accounting, and ERP Implementation. Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to : accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
• Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation
• Participate in the ongoing development / establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes.
• Collaborate with external auditors and HR for comprehensive audits of company's financial status, payroll, and regulatory compliance
• Conduct regular ledger processes, prepare financial reports, and reconcile invoices
• Implement and monitor the ERP system and other accounting systems and software
• Analyze financial data and create monthly reports to present to senior leadership
• Ensure compliance with state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and implement financial strategies, as well as contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the management level to align financial management with short and long-term financial planning and projections
