Job description

HonorVet Technologies is seeking a Social Work Correctional LMSW - Licensed Master Social Worker for a travel job in East Elmhurst, New York.

Job Description & Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
  • New York State license (LMSW / LCSW, LPC, LMHC, or Psychologist)
  • DOC and PREA clearance required
  • Experience with adults with behavioral problems, substance use, or severe mental illness preferred
  • Inpatient or related experience preferred

    • Job Duties

  • Conduct mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, and follow-up care
  • Coordinate appropriate level of care and discharge planning with Reentry Social Workers
  • Develop and lead group treatment on observation and general units
  • Participate in clinical supervision, treatment planning, rounds, and case conferences
  • Collaborate with DOC to ensure access, housing, and treatment disposition
  • Complete documentation and statistical reports as required
  • May conduct psychological testing and supervise interns / student volunteers

  • Department : Psychiatry – Mental Health, Correctional Health Services
  • Patient population : Incarcerated adult men
  • Schedule : 4 : 00 PM – 12 : 00 AM, Monday – Friday
