Position Overview

As a Video Editor , you will be responsible for creating high-quality, engaging videos for social media and brand videos. You’ll work closely with our creative producers, content creators, and brand teams to deliver trend-forward videos that drive engagement across multiple platforms. This role reports to the VP of Creative Production and does not have direct reports.

This is a hybrid position based in Los Angeles with flexibility to be onsite up to four days per week for different production needs such as shoots and producer collaborations.

As part of a dynamic production team, priorities and projects may shift quickly — flexibility and adaptability are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Video Production & Editing

  • Edit raw footage into polished, visually engaging videos for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, paid ads, websites, events, and other video needs.
  • Apply color correction, audio balancing, motion graphics, captions, and effects to elevate content quality.
  • Deliver multiple platform-optimized versions of video content.

Creative Storytelling & Trend Integration

  • Stay ahead of cultural moments, trends, and evolving social formats to keep content fresh.
  • Experiment with creative storytelling techniques, editing styles, and effects to drive performance.
  • Contribute ideas that align with brand voice and resonate with target audiences.
  • Partner with content creators, producers, and cross-functional teams to brainstorm and refine ideas.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Performance & Optimization

  • Track performance data and analyze audience engagement to inform future edits.
  • Adjust creative strategies based on analytics, platform algorithms, and client feedback.
  • Support testing initiatives, including A / B creative testing, and paid social optimizations.
  • Required Experience And Education

  • 4+ years of experience in video editing within digital, social, or creative agency environments.
  • 2 - 4 years of hands-on digital content creation / editing specifically for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other social platforms.
  • Proven skills with CapCut , Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects (knowledge of broader Adobe Creative Suite is a plus).
  • Strong writing and editing skills to ensure clarity, pacing, and storytelling impact.
  • Familiarity with social analytics, paid social advertising, and creative testing (A / B testing, optimization).
  • Experience collaborating with creative agencies, production teams, or talent.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, collaborative, and trend-aware.
  • Photo and static asset editing skills are a plus.
  • Applicants must submit a portfolio or reel showcasing video editing work for social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.). Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
