Job descriptionArchitecture & Advisory : Advise agencies on architecture and security concerns associated with Azure, specifically focusing on in-place migrations and refactoring. Migration Strategy : Make recommendations for lift and shift strategies and complex on-premise to cloud-native migrations . Refactoring : Provide expert recommendations and configurations for refactoring services within the existing Azure environment. Configuration : Perform hands-on configurations primarily to Azure-based services in support of agency-level objectives. MVP Testing : Conduct testing within Azure to demonstrate the Minimal Viable Product (MVP) of a proposed architecture. Ecosystem Knowledge : Maintain a deep understanding of available COV (Commonwealth of Virginia), MSI, and other connected party offerings to ensure compliant and integrated solutions. Communication : Clearly and effectively articulate technical experience and complex architectural decisions to diverse stakeholders. Senior-Level Azure Architecture : Proven, senior-level technical experience as an Azure Cloud Architect . Cloud Migration : Deep experience with Azure migrations, including lift and shift and converting on-premise solutions to cloud-native services. Security : Strong understanding of security concerns and best practices within the Azure cloud environment. Demonstrable Skills : Ability to make configurations, test architectures (MVP), and drive refactoring efforts. Exceptional Communication : Solid written and oral communication skills are mandatory for articulating complex technical concepts and presenting clear recommendations to management and technical teams.
Location & Work Arrangement
- Location : Richmond, Virginia
- Work Arrangement : Hybrid (On-site is REQUIRED 2-3 days per week.)
- Contract : This is a Contract position (1 year expected duration).
- Mode of Interview : Initial Virtual (Webcam) interview, with the right reserved for an In-Person follow-up interview.
- Note : The selected candidate will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
