About The Position

Job Title : Nuclear Medicine Technician

License : Valid State License required

Certifications : ARRT N, ARRT R, BLS, CNMT, NMTCB, PET / CT Certified, MIC CT Cross-trainer Certification

Must-Have :

PET / CT certified or MIC CT Cross-trainer Certification is required.

If MIC CT Cross-trainer certification is needed, it must be completed within one week after hire.

Epic charting system experience is mandatory.

Description :

This position offers a 13-week duration with 4x10-hour shifts from 07 : 00 to 17 : 30, Monday through Thursday.

One Saturday PET shift occurs every four weeks, requiring an approximately 8-hour day.

The technician will perform high-quality dynamic static SPECT / CT and PET / CT imaging procedures.

The role includes conducting radiopharmacy duties such as receipt, preparation, administration, and storage of radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals.

Technicians must ensure the safety and integrity of the agents used.

Various non-imaging procedures will be performed according to departmental protocols to obtain requested information.

Quality control procedures must be conducted to ensure optimal performance of gamma cameras, computers, and related equipment.

Practicing safe handling of radioactive materials according to departmental regulations is essential to minimize radiation exposure to self and others.

Interdisciplinary support is available within this patient population-specific unit.

Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

The average number of visits per day is approximately 40.

The number of rooms available in the unit is 5.

The facility performs specialized procedures to achieve desired diagnostic results for referring physicians.
