Job Description

As a Program Configuration and Data Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the integrity and control of product information (hardware, software, and documentation) across the Program, ensuring compliance with standards and requirements. This role demands collaboration with PMO, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other key functions to create and maintain configuration baselines, support the AI&T (assembly, integration, and test) process, provide support to audits and operations. You will administer configuration management tool services, oversee change management processes, support release management, and ensure adherence to configuration, change, and release management policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain configuration management plans, processes, and procedures ensuring compliance with industry standards such as (but not limited to) AS9100, ISO-9001, MIL-STD, and customer contractual requirements.
• Familiarity with Military and industry CM standards such as MIL-HDBK-61, EAI-649, ISO 10007, and CMMI.
• Manage product baselines (functional, allocated, and product) across the system lifecycle.
• Serve as the CM subject matter expert (SME), mentoring team members and advising leadership on CM strategy, risk, and compliance gaps.
• Review, develop, and recommend improvements to existing configuration, change, and release management policies and procedures.
• Manage and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs), drawings, revision history, and part number schema within PLM / ERP systems.
• Drive adoption of modern CM practices and tools, including PLM / ERP integration, digital thread initiatives, and process automation.
• Interface with suppliers and customers to ensure proper flow-down of contractual and mission assurance requirements.
• Support program reviews, customer audits, and government inspections, serving as the CM representative.
• Lead or support cross-functional Change Control Boards (CCBs) and Engineering Review Boards (ERBs).
• Interface with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management to ensure configuration integrity.
• Support the release and revision control of engineering drawings, specifications, and software.
• Ensure compliance with export control regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR) in documentation and data handling.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and subject matter experts, as well as work with external partners / vendors.
• Administer configuration management / data management services on the Windows platform.
• Provide regular reporting of system health and evaluate additional monitoring procedures.
• Supervise associated CM Specialist personnel in support of the program.
