Marketing and Development Coordinator Summary
The Marketing and Development Coordinator will maintain funding streams, oversee grant processes and timelines, and organize fundraising events.
The coordinator will also support the administrative marketing and development tasks. This position reports to the COO and works closely with all departments in the organization.
- Work with COO to determine monetary fundraising goals for the fiscal year.
- Provide administrative support to the Development and Marketing Committee.
- Research and maintain list of potential donors including grants, individual contributions, and corporate sponsorships.
- Assist CEO, COO and Grant writing contractor with grant applications and grant reporting and documentation.
- Coordinate and maintain literature necessary for distribution for potential funders, stakeholders, and community partners.
- Coordinate and maintain agency website and social media platforms.
- Plan and execute annual giving campaigns - including but not limited to Giving Tuesday, Arizona Gives Day, and annual Tax Credit Campaign.
- Research, register for, plan, and staff outreach events in collaboration with Leadership Team.
- Assist the COO, CEO and the Development and Marketing Committee in developing and implementing annual fundraising / Special Events.
- Assist COO, CEO and Directors team in maintaining current and expand future community partnerships.
- Responsible for all branding of agency materials.
Requirements :
- Must have experience in fund Development or related field and preferred one year experience in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) field.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Current driver license with Non-Restricted Vehicle Record and compliance per the requirements of The Opportunity Tree’s insurance carrier.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write, speak, and listen effectively in English.
- Education : Four-year degree preferred with a preference in non-profit management, communications, business, or public administration.
- Knowledge : Intermediate in MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, web browser (experience with other required software).
- Experience maintaining websites and social media platform content.
- Successful completion and maintain all required training which may include CPR, First Aid, Article 9, and Prevention and Support.
- Successfully meet AZ-DPS requirements for Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Reliable transportation and travel for The Opportunity Tree business.
Work Environment :
- Lift / carry / transfer minimum of 40 pounds.

- Pushing or pulling of wheelchairs.
- Reach / reach overhead.
- Walk / stand for extended periods.
- Sit for extended periods.
