Description
The Field Supervisor, Climate Resilience and Disaster Preparedness is responsible for leading the day-to-day implementation of CORE's climate resilience and disaster preparedness initiative in the San Diego Region (San Diego and Imperial Counties), California. This role ensures high-quality field operations, supervises and supports frontline staff, fosters meaningful community partnerships, and ensures compliance with grant and organizational requirements. The Field Supervisor enhances program impact, builds local capacity and strengthens CORE's mission to advance equitable disaster readiness and climate adaptation across vulnerable communities. This is a full time, hybrid, grant-funded position through September 30, 2026, with the possibility to extend (pending funding).
Main Responsibilities :
- Lead and supervise field-based staff, ensuring alignment with program goals, safety protocols, and performance standards.
- Oversee implementation of the climate resilience and disaster preparedness in the San Diego Region (San Diego and Imperial Counties), California ensuring deliverables are met on time and within scope.
- Support program operations including staffing schedules, logistics, community engagement and resource coordination.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day field operations and local coordination.
- Monitor program activities to ensure compliance with grant guidelines and organizational policies.
- Strengthen partnerships with community-based organizations, local agencies, and regional networks.
- Collect and analyze program data for reporting, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Represent CORE at external meetings, coalitions, and events.
- Lead special projects related to emergency preparedness, climate resilience or sustainability initiatives, in coordination with Program Management.
- Identify and act on opportunities for program expansion, partnerships, or innovation in service delivery.
- Support in researching and identifying new grant opportunities to advance CORE's mission.
- Deploy as needed to support emergency operations, including disaster response efforts.
