Epic EMR proficiency required and recent.

Trauma level I / II recent hospital experience required.

Nursing patient ratios : Days 1 : 5-6, Nights 1 : 6.

Description :

The unit has 90 double occupancy beds.

The RN will care for medical patients, including those with pneumonia, COPD, acute kidney injury, and occasional surgical patients.

RNs will not need to titrate heparin and Lasix drips.

Charge nurses may take assignments if necessary.

Patient care technicians will be available to assist.

Equipment includes Bipap and stable trach.

There will be a dedicated monitor tech, so travelers do not need to interpret telemetry.

Shifts are from 6 : 45 PM to 7 : 15 AM.

Weekends are required every other week.

Typically, RNs will work 2-3 holidays during the assignment.

There is a low census on-call requirement.

Floating to MedSurg and stable low acuity in ICU will be expected.

The scrub color is navy blue.

Cancellation policy allows for hours to be canceled equivalent to the weekly guaranteed hours for the assignment.

Charting will be done using the Epic system.
