Job Summary And Qualifications

Under general supervision the Staff RN provides direct nursing carein accordance withestablished policies and procedures ofMedicalCenter of Lewisville.In collaboration withpatient,patient’s familyand other members of the health care team, the clinical RNis responsible forassessing the nursing care needs of patients, planninginterventionsand evaluating outcomes of care.The RN provides direct care and / or supervises nursing careofLVN’s and non-licensed nursing staff.The RNis responsible forproviding care consistent with the Nursing Department’s policies,proceduresand standards of practice.

RN’sare responsible forprovidingcare, whichisappropriate tothe age specific(adolescent,adultand geriatric patients),developmental and safety needs of the assigned patient population.In addition to the RN duties and responsibilities, the RN scope includes charge duties.Theclinical supervisor orcharge nursemakes patient assignments and supervises and directs the staff and unit activities for the assigned shift.

What qualifications you will need :

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

ACLS

(RN) Registered Nurse License or RN Compact State License

Bachelors Degree, or Masters Degree, or Associate Degree

Pass the licensed personnel FIM exam using the UDSMR Online Credentialing Systemwithin90 daysof hire and again as necessary tomaintainthe facilities UDS-PRO credential.

CRRN Preferred

Staff RN must have a minimum of1 yearrecent nursing experience

Experience inPost AcuteInpatient Rehabilitation Care setting preferred

ExperienceutilizatingPatient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI) for inpatient rehabilitation preferred.
