Field Service Technician

Summary

A Field Window and Door Service Technician position is available at MI Windows and Doors (MIWD). You will be responsible for servicing existing MI customers by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining windows and doors. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Hourly Compensation : Starts at $19.68

Work Schedule : Monday through Friday, starting at 6 : 00 .

Position : Field Service Technician

Location : MI Windows and Doors, Gratz, Pennsylvania

Responsibilities

• Train to acknowledge receipt of service and contact homeowners or job supervisors within 2–3 weeks to schedule service.
• Process each order for service work, confirming load date, sizing, quantity, etc., for accuracy.
• Inspect parts received for service for shipping damage and order accuracy; complete necessary paperwork for MIWD.
• Perform courteous and prompt service; communicate with homeowners / job supervisors if service timeframes cannot be met.
• Document service completion, detailing work performed and any issues; note additional parts ordered and their delivery method.
• Submit all parts orders directly to MIWD via email.
• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of Milgard windows and doors to identify issues or required maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair window and door-related problems, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
• Document service visits and repairs accurately, maintaining detailed records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle and manage inventory of tools and parts.
• Adhere to safety standards and company policies during all service activities.
• Provide recommendations to customers for preventative maintenance and upgrades.
