Payroll Clerk Opportunity
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in central New Jersey. In this role, you will oversee and execute payroll processes across multiple entities and states, ensuring compliance and accuracy at all times. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing essential payroll support and collaborating with various teams. Responsibilities include :
- Processing weekly payroll for multiple entities and EINs across various states, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
- Managing payroll operations using OnePoint software, handling data entry, reconciliations, reporting, and configuration of earnings and deductions.
- Interpreting and applying multi-state and local tax regulations to ensure proper withholding, reporting, and tax payments.
- Collaborating with implementation teams to establish compliance in new tax jurisdictions during organizational expansions.
- Auditing timesheets, overtime calculations, and commission data to maintain payroll accuracy.
- Handling monthly reimbursements, expense payouts, and administering wage garnishments, bonuses, and adjustments.
- Responding to payroll-related inquiries and managing employment verifications with a high level of professionalism.
- Coordinating with HR on pay setup for new hires, updates to compensation, and accurate worker classifications.
- Working with the workers' compensation broker to set up new classifications and reporting codes.
- Preparing and analyzing payroll, tax, and labor cost reports for Finance and HR leadership, as well as supporting annual audits with relevant documentation.
Requirements include :
Minimum of 4 years of payroll experience, preferably within a healthcare or management services organization.Demonstrated expertise in managing multi-state payrolls across multiple EINs and varied schedules.Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including jurisdictional setup and unemployment requirements.Practical experience using OnePoint or similar payroll systems.Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.Proficiency in full-cycle payroll processes, including garnishments and expense management.Exceptional analytical skills to prepare detailed payroll reports and audits.Ability to effectively manage payroll operations for organizations with 101-500 employees.
