Position Summary
As our Septic Repair Technician, you will assist repair tech in inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing septic systems as needed by hand digging and using excavation equipment.
You must further have some mechanical knowledge in order to uncover equipment / maintenance issues to ensure equipment is running properly.
Responsibilities
- Inspection, troubleshooting and repairing septic systems.
- Locating and digging up components of system
- Completing appropriate paperwork
- Run excavation machine as trained and needed.
- Work with customers to get the work done fast and safely to the customers satisfaction
- Others duties as required
Qualifications / Knowledge / Critical Skills
- Septic installation and / or repair experience
- Driving skills ability to navigate vehicle in tight roads and driveways comfortable towing trailers
- Mapping and navigation skills including how to read a map
- Ability to read and understand a map.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including
- Ability to work overtime, weekends and / or holidays.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
- Previous CDL truck driving experience preferred.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have at least a valid Class C CDL, but Class B preferred.
- Must have a valid DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire.
- Must not have any DUIs or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
- Must not have any license suspensions within the last 2 years.
- No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
- Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.
Physical Demands / Environmental Factors
- Repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing up to 40lbs
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
- Possible exposure to high traffic conditions while outside of the vehicle.
