Work Type : Full Time

Hours Per Week : 36

Work Schedule : 6 : 30 AM TO 7 : 30 PM

Summary : Provides direct and in-direct patient care under direction of nursing staff. Performs duties such as feed, bathe, dress, groom, or move patients, or change linens. May transfer or transport patients.

Responsibilities :

• Communicates and interacts with patients and families, physicians, peers and other health care members to maximize successful customer outcomes and maximize function of the unit.
• Precepts team members to job function
• Orients patient to hospital environment and routine.
• Documents all aspects of patient care in a timely manner.
• Participates in unit quality improvement initiatives.
• Communicates appropriate information and patient needs to oncoming staff at change of shift and to RN in a timely manner for follow up.
• Provides care in accordance with the patient's plan of care.
• Label and Delivers specimens per policy.
• Maintains a safe environment complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures; reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and / or protocol when involved or observed.
• May perform other duties upon request.

Required Certified Nursing Assistant Education :

Required No Minimum Requirement

High school diploma or GED is preferred

Working Conditions :

Lifting, moving and loading 30 to 50 pounds.

Alternate shift schedules (day, evening, nights, weekends).
