Hospitalist Physician

Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Hospitalist

Details :

• 7 on / 7 off block schedule
• 60 hospital beds
• 12 hour shifts (there is flexibility to leave early on low census / low acuity days)
• 1 rounding day physician (7 a.m. - 7 p.m.) plus one APC
• Daily census of 20-25 split between two clinicians
• NP sees 5-6 patients per day and does new admits.
• Hospitalist see ICU patients - consults intensivist.
• Nights covered by APC. Night telephone call by physician. 0-3 calls nightly.
• Open ICU Intensivists on site during the day.
• Rapids & codes required
• Vent management preferred. Hospitalist doesn't do coverage for intubation, or patients that are on multiple pressers.
• Procedures not required
• Cerner EMR
