As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This role requires carrying a weapon as part of your responsibilities. What You'll Do : Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner while adhering to established protocols. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail or mall environment, including both the interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence. Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to observe for unusual or suspicious activity, reporting findings according to client and Allied Universal protocols. Interact professionally with the public, store personnel, and / or tenants, providing assistance as needed while maintaining a security-related focus appropriate for a retail or mall setting. Document incidents, observations, and activities thoroughly in written reports or electronic systems as required by site procedures. Minimum Requirements : An active Armed Guard Card or License is required. A Level III Armed Certification is required for roles in Texas. Having an active Guard Card or License is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
