Job Description

The Atlanta, GA office is in search of an experienced transactional paralegal to join our Real Estate practice group. The Real Estate paralegal will work directly with attorneys and clients during due diligence, closings, and post-closing work of commercial real estate transactions.

Essential Duties

• Drafting transaction documentation for attorneys and assisting with post-closing work
• Manage and assist with the closing of various transactions, including preparation, coordination, distribution, and organization of closing binders
• Assist attorneys to index, organize documents, correspondence, memorandums, and attorney notes
• Proofread legal documents and contracts
• Reviewing survey and title insurance documentation in commercial real estate transactions
• Obtain, organize, review and summarize due diligence materials, including corporate status certificates and certified corporate documents, and real estate title examinations and surveys, as well as preparation of necessary documentation to correct or clear title
• Perform special projects as assigned
• Draft memos regarding the status of projects
• Maintain current and accurate daily time record
• Ability to work overtime and irregular hours as dictated by the Firm and client needs
