Purpose of Role

Drive Footwear product development from brief to Confirm for Production (Buy ready). In this role you are responsible for building and supporting overall footwear cross-functional teams with the best in class of fit & comfort, performance, and create a world class footwear. Focus on the development through footwear best practices / standards, and find technical solutions, build at cost, project management, UA’s sustainability strategy, and inherence to product integrity via consumer satisfaction and UA’s Footwear requirements.

Your Impact

• Displays a strong understanding of advanced concepts of blueprints, shell patterns, materials, footwear manufacturing, mold making, costing and product testing.
• Collaborates with design to drive the product creation process forward by maintaining and creating tech packages for assigned projects, including blueprints, shell patterns, color cads, material maps, VR samples, and maintaining style BOMs through to the buy-ready milestones.
• Consistently supports the implementation of new innovations
• Contributes to the product creation process by providing costing, performance, and technical solutions to creative ideas
• Continuously updates all necessary product information within the Centric PLM System
• Clear and detailed daily communication with our sourcing teammates to drive projects towards buy ready
• Initiate and lead meetings with product teams during various phases of development to review, evaluate, update, and ultimately drive the decision-making process that leads to on–time buy ready and achieves margin goals
• Collaborate with the product testing team to make informed revisions throughout various sample stages
• Strong understanding of the footwear industry and the competitive set
• Lead International development trips as necessary to work with manufacturers and suppliers on existing and current development projects
• Responsible for mentorship of other development teammates

Workplace Location

Location : This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Portland, OR office.

Work Schedule : This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.

Base Compensation

$122,746.80 - $168,776.85 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
