Position Summary

Under minimal supervision, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance operations across multiple facilities on the Schwarzes Industries campus. This includes overseeing the upkeep and repair of fabrication equipment, assembly lines, and facility infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance with company standards.

Essential Functions Of The Job

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSA's)

Good mechanical aptitude.

Good mechanical ability / aptitude. Basic math skills and computer data entry skills.

General knowledge and familiarity with all machines and machine shop equipment including shop tools, forklifts, cranes, welding machines, hoist, and air compressor.

Knowledge of electrical equipment and repairs, plumbing, welding, basic HVAC, and pneumatics.

Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to read and interpret operation and parts manuals.

Ability to operate forklift, man lift and overhead crane.

Able to climb stairs / ladders up to 25 feet. Able to work indoors / outdoors.

Able to work overtime and / or weekends as scheduled.

Able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including steel toe shoes, hearing protection devices and safety glasses.

Education And Experience

High school diploma or GED certificate preferred.

Minimum Five (5) Years' Experience In Related Field.

Working Conditions : Must be physically capable of lifting 51 lbs., on a regular basis for 8-10 hour shift(s.) Continuous standing.
