Purchasing Manager

Are you a seasoned professional in strategic procurement with a keen understanding of chemicals and raw materials? We are actively seeking a results-driven Purchasing Manager to join our team in Miramar. In this role, you will play a vital part in overseeing procurement activities, optimizing material flow, and fostering strong supplier relationships to support our production needs.

Salary : 70K

Schedule : Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

Responsibilities :

• Establish and maintain measurable performance metrics for procurement activities, focusing on cost reductions, supplier performance, quality, internal order placement, buyer activity levels, financial (AP) performance, and material shortage elimination.
• Report progress and corrective actions related to supplier performance to management.
• Develop, issue, track, and report performance improvement and recovery plans for supply base management.
• Negotiate and execute purchase orders or vendor contracts for critical business needs.
• Manage material flow to optimize inventory levels for production schedules and on-time customer deliveries.
• Develop and implement commodity / supply chain strategies for materials, services, and supplier processes to maximize value, leverage, and standardization.
• Cultivate relationships with suppliers and oversee all related activities.
• Lead materials savings initiatives aligned with profit plans and overall business objectives.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
