COMPASS Inc. seeks a Services Coordinator to provide support and advocacy to all those affected by sexual violence and build a community network within the Alliance, Ohio region. This is achieved by developing and maintaining collaborative relationships within the area, utilizing structured activities and strategies to engage the community, and developing appropriate coordinated community responses.

COMPASS, an affiliate of Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio, provides services to all survivors of rape and sexual abuse - women, children, men - and their loved ones in Carroll, Tuscarawas, and Stark Counties. Their programs include crisis intervention, advocacy, education, and prevention.

Essential Functions :

• Participate as a representative of COMPASS on community collaborations, task forces, etc.
• Provide outreach and education to area professionals and the community on available services and resources for survivors of sexual violence.
• Provide accompaniment and assistance to survivors and / or co-survivors (such as parents, custodians, legal guardians, and spouses) throughout the law enforcement and criminal justice process, including medical forensic exams.
• Provide referrals and ongoing follow-up for the victim.
• Assist with prevention education efforts as needed.
• Manage agency events and meetings. This includes the planning and implementation of SAAM events.
• Provide coverage on the 24-hour crisis hotline as needed. Provide advocacy and support to survivors through hospital advocacy, criminal justice advocacy, and / or office appointments and walk-ins.
• Complete all necessary documentation and reporting forms as required by the agency and funding sources.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, practices, and safety / security regulations.
• Maintain client confidentiality of people served.
• Other duties as assigned.

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / ABILITIES :

Basic Requirements :

Background checks including FBI and BCII, and employment verification will be performed.
