• Location : McKeesport, PA 15132 (Greater Pittsburgh area)\n
• Healthcare Setting : Medical / Surgical Unit\n
• Employment Type : Travel RN, On-Site\n
• Start Date : November 10, 2025\n
• Assignment Length : 13-week contract\n
• Shift : 12-hour night shifts (3x12 hours / week)\n
• Total Hours : 36 hours per week\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary : $1630 - $1750\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n
• Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license\n
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification – required before first shift\n
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification – required before first shift\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent bedside clinical experience in a med / surg or acute care setting (2 years preferred)\n
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills\n\nMed / Surg RN Responsibilities\n
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for medical / surgical patients\n
• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process : assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation\n
• Supervise and mentor Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff\n
• Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital policies and clinical safety protocols\n
• Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record (EHR)\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes\n
• Initiate discharge planning and provide patient / family education from admission through discharge\n
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment and contribute to unit efficiency\n
• Assume charge nurse duties as needed following orientation\n
