Job description

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Vascular Surgery NP in Indiana!

About The Position

Barton is seeking a Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 65-day locum tenens assignment in Indiana. This vital role begins on Sept. 8, 2025, and involves a night shift schedule of 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a 7 on / 7 off rotation. The NP will be integral in daily rounding on all inpatients, including ICU and stepdown units, handling new consults, and managing patient discharges.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Daily rounding on ICU and stepdown unit inpatients
  • Handling new patient consults in a cardiovascular and thoracic setting
  • Managing the discharge process for patients
  • Maintaining accurate patient records using the Cerner EMR system
  • Ensuring a seamless continuity of care during patient transfers

    • Additional Information

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Must be licensed to practice in Indiana
  • Comfortable with cardiovascular and thoracic cases and procedures
