ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and supervising the activities of the assigned area. Communicates goals to employees and ensures that goals are achieved. Maximizes employee participation to achieve the desired team approach. Develops area personnel to enhance skills, improve responsiveness, and promote business growth.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Function as the leader of a multi-skilled team in a high-performance, Process area-based organization.
- Lead team of multi-skilled Cement Technicians to safely and efficiently operate and maintain a 4 million ton per year cement plant.
- Day-to-day management of plant operations and mechanical maintenance activities to ensure good execution, optimization of resources, and completion of necessary administration and documentation
- Provide coaching and feedback to develop personnel into full-functioning team members
- Successfully deliver training (safety, technical, and non-technical) to employees as part of the plant master training
- Ability to correctly make decisions while delegating when appropriate, considering the large business impact of decisions due to the size of the plant
- Provide performance feedback to team technicians as part of an annual review process.
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality and understanding of the impact of area activities on downstream customers
- Participate in business planning process (budgeting, CAPEX, etc.) for team / area.
- Instrumental in the development and execution of the area maintenance plan, including Preventive and Corrective, and annual outage planning. Lead improvements in operations and equipment reliability through the application of predictive maintenance principles and root cause failure analysis.
- Select and monitor third-party vendors providing mechanical assistance to the area.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education : High school diploma or equivalent, or 3+ years of equivalent experience
Additional Education Preferred : Bachelor's degree
Field of Study Preferred : Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
Required Work Experience : 3+ years
Required Training / Certifications : Minimal
Required Technical Skills : SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Travel Requirements : Minimal

The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles, confined spaces, outside weather conditions, low lighting, artificial lighting, and explosives. The employee is regularly exposed to wet and / or humid conditions, proximity to electrical equipment, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
