About the Role
Overview :
We're looking for a highly skilled and proactive Accountant to lead our day-to-day accounting and financial operations. In this role, you'll be responsible for financial reporting, maintaining accurate records, implementing controls and policies, and helping steer strategic financial planning. You'll also oversee a small team, manage budgets, ensure GAAP compliance, and support company-wide systems and operations.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and wants to build and refine the financial foundation of a growing company.
Responsibilities
- Financial Operations & Oversight
Manage all company accounting activities, including for subsidiaries and related entities
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesPrepare and distribute financial statements and internal management reportsLead the budgeting process and support forecasting activitiesReview journal entries, reconciliations, and financial metricsExecute and monitor AR / AP functionsInterface with external accountants for tax compliance and auditsEnsure compliance with financial regulations and lawsControls, Systems & Reporting
Implement and maintain strong internal controls and accounting systemsDevelop and enforce policies and procedures aligned with best practicesIdentify and address internal control issues or process inefficienciesSummarize and forecast financial performance across income, expenses, and earningsManage departmental budget and ensure ongoing fiscal disciplineTeam Leadership & Collaboration
Direct and mentor finance / accounting team membersSet clear performance criteria and conduct evaluationsLead or coordinate finance training initiatives for staffCollaborate cross-functionally to align financial operations with broader company goalsRecommend and implement process improvements and cost-saving measuresQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field1-2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial analysisProven experience managing budgets and / or financial teamsSolid understanding of GAAP, tax requirements, and accounting principlesProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesExperience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentHighly self-motivated and able to manage tasks independentlyBenefits
