Job Summary : This position is embedded within msCFO, a respected CPA & Accounting Services firm under the Numera umbrella. We are seeking an Accountant to join our dynamic team. We are looking for an experienced accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions. Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining a general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate also has experience collaborating and / or managing a team of Bookkeepers. Accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks. Key Responsibilities : Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results Analyze financial information and summarize financial status Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers Prepare financial statements Assist with tax audits and tax returns Plan, assign, and review staff’s work Support month-end and year-end close process Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls Ensure compliance with US GAAP principles Liaise with our Financial Controllers to improve financial procedures Delivery management : Proven experience working as an Accountant Strong knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting principles Hands-on experience with general ledger, month-end, and year-end close processes Proficient in accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables High accuracy, attention to detail, and strong numerical aptitude Skills and Qualifications : Degree in Accounting or Finance Relevant certification (e.g., CMA or CPA) will be preferred. General computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, etc.) Accounting tools : Should be familiar with accounting software packages, like Xero, QuickBooks Strong communication and presentation skills Must be able to demonstrate multitasking capacity Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Must be highly organized in document management with strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
