Universal Alloy Corporation (UAC) is a global leader in the manufacture of aerospace products. UAC supplies aircraft manufacturers and their subcontractors worldwide and has served the aircraft industry for over four decades. UAC specializes in 2000- and 7000-series alloys and offers a full range of alloys and tempers that can be tailored to a customer's particular application.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote and comply with all company safety, health, and environmental policies, rules, and regulations.
- Training : Will train along staff to learn about :
- Three-phase electrical circuits, motors, and motor control circuits
- Electrical schematics, programmable logic controllers
- Variable frequency drives, NFPA 70E, and NEC
- Assist with :
- Engineering documentation of machinery
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and electrical and electronic equipment
- Furnishing tools, materials, and supplies to other workers
- Cleaning work areas, machines, and tools
- Perform other duties as needed in addition to the above responsibilities.
Qualifications
Minimum Education : Some collegeMinimum Experience : 1 to 2 years in the engineering field (preferred)Certifications (provided by UAC) : Confined spaces, crane, fall protection, forklift, lock-out / tag-out, and pallet jack certificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Project Management : Ability to coordinate projects involving multiple departmentsComputer Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelMaintenance Skills : Knowledge of standard tools and safe usage; understanding of maintenance termsDecision-Making : Focus on what is best for the business and customersCommunication : Excellent verbal and written skills; conflict resolution skillsMathematical Skills : Ability to perform basic calculations in various unitsReasoning Skills : Ability to follow and communicate instructionsPhysical Abilities : Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds; accommodations available for disabilitiesWorking Conditions
Schedule : Monday – Friday, 7 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm, with possible after-hours or weekend supportSafety
All employees must adhere to safety procedures, attend training, promote safety, and report accidents. Proper PPE use is mandatory.
