Job description

Indy West Christian School is seeking a mature Christian individual to join our Facilities Team. This role involves routine cleaning, minor maintenance, event setup, and coordination with external cleaning and facilities crews. Ideal candidates are dependable, organized, and committed to serving in a Christ-centered environment.

Professional Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred
  • 1–2 years of maintenance experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Suite, email)
  • Ability to learn work order software
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods

Spiritual and Personal Qualifications :

  • A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Agreement with and active support of the school's Statement of Faith and Lifestyle Statement
  • Serves as a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and conduct
  • Demonstrates spiritual maturity, integrity, and confidentiality
  • Active membership in an evangelical church
  • Ability to follow the Matthew 18 principle in handling conflict

    • Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and lunchroom areas during school hours
  • Handle trash removal and supply restocking as needed
  • Assist with deliveries, equipment movement, and event setup / teardown
  • Monitor building safety and report repair needs
  • Support arrival and dismissal procedures
  • Maintain work order logs and communicate with evening cleaning crews
  • Participate in crisis management and other duties as assigned
