LHH is currently recruiting an Interim Controller for a long-term contract assignment with one of our clients in Houston, TX. This position will be responsible for executing month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring precise and timely financial reporting, and developing financial planning and analysis processes.

Job Duties include :

Manage the day-to-day accounting operations which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

Manage month-end and year-end close processes including reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and perform variance analysis.

Direct financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

Manage external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.

Investigate complex financial transactions and prepare reports summarizing the findings.

Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications include :

8+ years of accounting and finance experience including previous experience as a Controller.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, and CPA preferred.

Proven ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.

Strong computer skills including advanced Excel skills, and ERP experience preferably MS Dynamics experience.

Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to roll up your sleeves and get into the details
