The Development Lab Technician will assemble and modify low voltage motor control centers per engineer specification for short circuit, arc fault and thermal testing. You will maintain test documentation and prepare test reports. You will work with local engineering teams, overseas teams, and other personnel to complete projects promptly.
Responsibilities :
Initiate and manage work orders, aid in tracking and close-out of work orders
Use computer programs, configuration tools, operating systems for assembly instruction
Interpret blueprints and schematics
Operate hand tools, power tools, cranes, hoists, hand trucks and other material handling equipment Collect test data
Maintain and track parts inventory and help order parts
Help with efficient lab storage and arrangement of all parts and products
Maintain all lab equipment / tools and calibration schedule
Coordinate with EHS on safety issues, new equipment, updating safety data sheets, hazardous materials / chemicals, and monthly inspection forms
Skills
Familiarity with power distribution equipment
Physical ability to use tools and other devices which require dexterous work with the hands
Mental and visual ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
dapt to and embrace change by identifying needs, adjusting and working with others to implement programs
