POSITION OVERVIEW
Consumer Reports seeks a dynamic, strategic, and experienced financial leader to join its team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO is responsible for the overall financial strategy and health of the organization, providing strategic direction, driving financial growth, managing fiscal operations, and supporting organizational growth through data-driven decision‑making. This highly visible role is critical in shaping long‑term strategy and ensuring compliance with regulatory and fiscal requirements, while aligning all financial decisions with CR’s mission of empowering consumers.
CR operates in an online‑driven environment, where technological changes, particularly AI, create both challenges and opportunities. Performance metrics such as online behavior, acquisition costs, lifetime value analyses, and retention rates are critical and continually evolving. Success in this role will require close collaboration with CR’s marketing professionals and data scientists to analyze and report on the financial impact of these dynamics, while identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.
In addition to overseeing the integrity of CR’s financial accounting and operations, the CFO will lead long‑term financial planning, strategic forecasting, and performance optimization. RESPONSIBILITIES
Enhance data infrastructure and financial analytics through dashboards, predictive models, and business intelligence tools to enable real‑time decision‑making
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role
Background in predictive analytics, performance marketing analytics, and data personalization is a plus
Proven ability to collaborate with senior leadership to inform organizational strategy and drive business decisions
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for non‑financial stakeholders

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This full‑time, hybrid executive position offers an extraordinary opportunity to lead the financial strategy of one of the nation’s most respected and mission‑driven nonprofit organizations. The role offers a highly competitive salary range of $400,000 - $450,000 (DOE), in addition to a benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions, generous paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and access to wellness programs and professional development opportunities.
