About The Position

Job Description :

The OB Hospitalist will be responsible for the following clinical duties at Fountain Valley Hospital :

Attend deliveries and provide obstetrical care for patients presenting through the ER or in labor

Evaluate and manage OB patients admitted to the hospital

Monitor fetal well-being and manage labor progress

Provide consults for GYN patients (Note : No GYN surgeries required)

Collaborate closely with community OB / GYNs and neonatologists

Work within a modern labor and delivery unit featuring family-centered couplet care

Support a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Cover the Emergency Department for obstetrical concerns

Participate in a model that provides 24-hour in-house physician coverage
