Activities Assistant

Job Summary:

The Benjamin Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate and organized Activities Assistant to join our team in Boston, MA. As an integral member of our Activities Department, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational activities for our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate recreational activities, including arts and crafts, games, outings, and special events

• Develop and maintain a calendar of activities to ensure variety and relevance to our residents' interests

• Work closely with Care Team members to identify residents' needs and preferences for activities

• Lead and participate in activities, including one-on-one interactions and group programs

• Maintain accurate records of activities, including attendance, participation, and resident feedback

• Collaborate with other departments to plan and implement special events and programs

• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of activities and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Compassion and understanding of the needs of senior adults

• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
