Job Title : Associate Attorney

Job Overview :

A respected law firm in Tacoma, WA, is seeking a dedicated and sharp-minded Associate Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. Duties :

Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and motions

Conduct in-depth legal research and provide analysis to support transactional and litigation cases

Assist with discovery, depositions, and client interviews under attorney supervision

Participate in court hearings, client meetings, and negotiations as needed

Collaborate across legal teams to support multi-disciplinary matters

Maintain case files, organize documentation, and manage timelines and legal deadlines

Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and third parties

Requirements :

Licensed to practice law in Washington State or ability to obtain licensure shortly after hiring

0-2 years of legal practice experience (including internships, clerkships, or law school clinics)

Strong research, writing, and analytical skills

Demonstrated initiative, time management, and attention to detail

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Commitment to ethical practice and a collaborative mindset

Education :

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications :

Washington State Bar admission (active and in good standing) or eligibility to become licensed within a reasonable timeframe

Skills :

Legal writing and research proficiency

Familiarity with legal databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Effective time and task management

Proficiency in handling sensitive client matters with discretion

Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
