Responsible for performing manufacture, repair and maintenance to progressive dies and rebuild or repair tooling to support production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform die maintenance, using tool rom equipment and hand tools
• Layout and perform center drilling, reaming, lapping, tapping, countersinking and counter boring.
• Machine parts to blueprint specifications.
• Fabricate and / or repair dies for production.
• Layout existing die sections and make replacements as needed.
• Make in press repairs of tooling.
• Document and record various data for the department.
• Drive a hi-lo and operate crane to transport dies for maintenance or installation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on the plant floor.
