Essential Qualifications and Skills :
Prior experience or formal education in a veterinary facilityFriendly, outgoing, and people-orientedExceptional communication and customer service skillsAble to be cross-trained for front office duties; proficiency in telephone and computer skills requiredTeam player willing to learn and adapt to new techniques and treatmentsMedical Skills Required :
Phlebotomy expertisePreparing and safely restraining animals for proceduresMonitoring anesthesiaAssisting in surgical proceduresApplying bandages and splintsWound care knowledgeProficient in using a stethoscope and otoscopeAdvising pet owners on appropriate careKey Duties Include :
Delivering exceptional relations with clients and their pets in waiting and exam areasExceeding client expectations for serviceProviding compassionate nursing care as a top priorityMaintaining cleanliness and organization in the clinicPerforming cursory examinations of animalsIdentifying potential patient issuesEffectively communicating findings to the veterinarianAccurate record-keepingFilling and dispensing prescriptions as directed by the veterinarianEducation and Physical Requirements :
Minimum of 2 years of veterinary experience; dermatology experience preferredReliable attendance is crucialAbility to lift up to 40 poundsCapability to walk, bend, stand, squat, and reach continuously throughout a standard 8-hour shiftBenefits :
