This is a part time, direct hire, hybrid role supporting a busy Austin family.
Overview
Our client is seeking an organized and proactive Household Manager and Personal Assistant to oversee household operations, errands, food preparation, vendor management, and property maintenance for their busy family. This part time position will require approximately 20 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Uphold a strict level of discretion and confidentiality. Maintain confidentiality at all times regarding household and personal matters.
- Manage daily household operations, including errands, groceries, deliveries, and weekly meal prep.
- Oversee housekeeping, organization, and light property maintenance or handyman coordination.
- Handle school drop-offs and pickups.
- Track and reorder household supplies, groceries, and other consumables.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers, ensuring all maintenance and repair needs are handled promptly.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as bill payment, scheduling, and record-keeping.
- Manage vehicles (fueling, car wash, general upkeep).
- Effective calendar and schedule management.
- Take initiative on small, behind-the-scenes details that support household harmony (e.g., cleaning up dishes, tidying shared spaces, pet-related tasks).
Required Experience / Skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Prior experience as a Household Manager, Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or Project Manager preferred.Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.Excellent attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs proactively.Comfortable managing vendors, coordinating schedules, and balancing multiple priorities.Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.Professionalism, discretion, and a calm, resourceful demeanor.Tech-savvy and able to manage scheduling and communication tools efficiently.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Comfortable around dogs.Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.Pay & Benefits Summary
