Estimated Weekly Salary : $1530–$1640 Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Nashville, TN 37203 (Tennessee nursing jobs) Unit : 12 Tower – Medical / Surgical (36 beds) Assignment Type : Travel RN contract Start Date : January 12, 2026 End Date : April 13, 2026 Duration : 13-week travel nursing assignment Shift : 12-hour nights (19 : 00–07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block Patient Ratios : 1 : 4 / 1 : 5 Documentation : Meditech EMR Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Registered Nurse) BLS and NIHSS certifications required COVID-19 vaccination required Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg RN experience Proficient in patient assessments and general care for wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, strokes, and seizures Experience with post-op procedures : amputations, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, wound vacs Familiarity with clinical equipment : PD Cyclers, Welch Allyn VS Carts, Hoyer Lift, Broda Chairs, Alaris IV Pumps Ability to float over core staff as needed Strong communication and teamwork skills Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to Med / Surg patients, including those requiring dialysis or PCA pumps (Heparin is the only drip) Conduct bedside shift reports and safety checks every 1–2 hours Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR Follow hospital policies for HAI and fall prevention, CVC and Foley monitoring, and 100% medication scanning Collaborate with a youthful, energetic healthcare team focused on patient outcomes and continuous improvement Provide care in an overflow non-ICU COVID unit as needed Uphold attendance and dress code policies (scrubs : navy, blue, white, black, gray, ceil blue) Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team Apply now to join our Nashville healthcare team and start your next travel nursing adventure!
